CUEE, The Chamber of Commerce and whats going on?

 CUEE's Unification Efforts Have Momentum
THANK YOU: CUEE would like to thank our many volunteers and countless supporters for all their efforts to inform and educate our community about unification. We would also like to thank many who have canvassed neighborhoods and communities throughout Valdosta.

  • Valdosta Daily Times news story by Sharah Denton: "CUEE Responds to Sam Allen."  We invite you to read this story in its entirety. 
  • Minister Leroy Butler, Chairman of CUEE, responds to recent claims by Sam Allen. Minister Butler has also submitted an Opinion Editorial to the Valdosta Daily Times responding to concerns about African-American children under a unified school system.

CUEE'S UNIFICATION PETITION DRIVE GAINS MOMENTUM:  Today, CUEE is pleased to report it has met and exceeded its preliminary target for signed petitions. Canvassers are reporting that more than 90% of the people they are talking to are signing the petition. CUEE expects to reach its goal for petition signers BEFORE the July 12 deadline. After that, the election office will have 50 days to certify the signatures paving the way for the referendum to be put on November 8 ballot.  

WHAT CAN YOU DO?  Sign the Petition at the CUEE Office if you haven't already.  Contact Molly at the CUEE office on 217 N. Ashley St. or call(229) 242-7669 or email mstevenson@cueeinc.com and ask about how your business can be a location for your employees, who are Valdosta residents, to sign the petition at work. Come help us canvass Valdosta for more signatures.Go to our Facebook Page and follow our day-to-day activities.

THURSDAY NIGHT DON'T MISS THE EDUCATION PLANNING MEETING AND THE ACCLAIMED "WAITING FOR SUPERMAN" MOVIE: Everyone interested in improving education in our community should plan to come to the meeting this Thursday night, June 23 at the Boys and Girls Club of Valdosta, 215 West North Street (229-242-0676) at 5:30 p.m. AND at 6:35 p.m. "Waiting for Superman".
